RELATIONSHIP THERAPY IN HOUSTON.

Reconnect to others. Reconnect to yourself.

Relationships are one of the best & hardest parts of life.

Have you ever asked yourself why you are attracted to someone, or why you keep making the same mistakes in friendships? The truth is most relationships begin with the coming together of two messy human beings, blindly bringing old patterns and baggage along for the ride. Healthy relationships are not a given. Getting more from our relationships first requires self-awareness, especially in how we connect with others.

You’re tired of feeling caught in the behaviors:

  • Anxiously waiting for a call or text from someone.

  • Ghosting people even when you feel badly doing so.

  • Not expressing needs or boundaries, leading to resentment and hurt.

Relationship therapy can help you feel more secure.

Our attachment style dictates a lot of our relationship patterns. We are wired to attach as we have to rely on our primary caregiver for survival. Depending on how that goes, we learn to trust and feel secure with our attachment figure which translates into adult relationships. Or, we may experience inconsistency, neglect, or confusion in our formative years. Anxiety and avoidance then naturally develop to keep us safe when our attachment figures are not.

Healing past and present attachment ruptures can only happen in the context of a relationship. This is why we’ll explore your attachment history while working towards more meaningful relationships in the present. The good news is that we can earn security and contentment in relationships no matter what happened in the past.
